Presence in my mind

Tailed Sonnet

Thou have become a presence in my mind.
I do not like it, for no longer is my mind free
Instead, my waking time is taken up with thee
My thoughts once controlled and simple kind
Now wander off in space, to leave me blind
And thinking of things that could perhaps be
Of the future, of love and of you and me
The way our souls around each other wind.
In my minds eye I see you everywhere
Each waking moment my time is bought
In things so different to what I can see.
Thinking about someone for whom I care
So natural for you to invade my thoughts
Someone I know who also cares for me
All this I obtained for such a simple fee
Someone to share my life with so easily
For this, what is the toll?
My devotion, that is all
My thoughts once controlled and simple kind
Allow thee to become a presence in my mind.
