Masks

Venetian mask show foxy smile on a stick;
in gleaming silk thin eyebrows lift in paint,
heads bob and turn with a pantomimic trick.
Moonshadows and Amantes bow in feint,
as Puccinella’s Ghost looks faintly sick-
the Doctor of the Pest has tried to taint
my lady’s sweet complexion- he is slick!
