For Peace

Birds do chirp and call in Spring
When my heart flies with summer wings
That stretch the breadth of earth
And float above her awaiting rebirth.

Never a song was sweeter when
A whippoorwill called my name, then
Went into the nights mysterious nest
Forever where my heart shall rest.
