I sat outside this morning
Eating my breakfast and
Feeling the occasional spots of rain
Almost as if Nature has forgotten how to.
The storm we had last month
Was almost that of Sydney
I wonder if our local warrior has forgotten
And brought in a friend to show her how.
My son joined me, he lives in Brisbane
And told me of the Queensland floods
Wishing that it had happened here
Is that a curse or a blessing?
I do not wish for more
I certainly donít want less
I do my bit and behave as is asked
And resent those that donít.
My garden would like more
And that I do not resent
Because Nature has her say
But why doesnít she speak louder for us.
