#17 Loves Nature

Thank you everyone who took part in the last theme challenge, its time to move on to the next challenge. In the Tir we have both nature and romance as regular genres, so combining the two shouldn't be so difficult - or is it? How does love express nature? The challenge is to do just that.

Terry Clitheroe

Jupiter and Uranus

The cold sky in my mind is a golden hue,
With sights of mountains rising not so afar,
Skies in various shades of white and blue
As night descended to views of one star.
Now the sky in my mind is full of stars,
See the Moon and to her right is Mars
Jupiter and Uranus left above and bright
Had swapped positions from last night.
Somehow the night has become alive
Yet I know that most are now fast asleep
If only they knew I'm sure they'd love a peep
One view I know their love would revive.
On the second night Venus had also been there
As I look at my lover how could I not care?

Quality Beach

Look into my eyes, as the moon lights the night
The oceans waves continue to dance so grand
Percussion sounding with each waves bite
Sending out its Bolero rhythm on the sand.
The oceans waves continue to dance with delight
There is no warm softness ever like this bliss
The world becomes still savouring the moment
We press close together so our hearts may kiss.
The beach, the water everything is so benign
We know Fate at last has given us her consent
And the smile on your lips says you are mine.
We will be held together forever with this grace
Because it has caused our two souls combine
And everlasting memories of this lovely place.

Zeehan Sunsets

I see no auras or bright flashes from the sun
All I see is a red glow across the land,
Merely signs that night has at last begun.

In the mountains in the east life is done
As the blackness of night starts to expand
I see no auras or bright flashes from the sun

The magnificent scene bows to what has come
Darkness hiding what is "Tasmania's grand"
Merely signs that night has at last begun.

The world most beautiful spot has been outdone
But it is all arranged and what nature planned
I see no auras or bright flashes from the sun

Beauty would become boring, Nature undone
She changes the scene so she might expand
Merely signs that night has at last begun.

With the morn, the scene refreshed, equal to none,
Witness the sight, and then you'll understand.
I see no auras or bright flashes from the sun
Merely signs that night has at last gone.

silver ring
binds one heart to another
and nature is love

Nature of Love

In those intimate moments between us
The magic that happens within my heart
A force of power when we are apart
Yet so delicate; how can it be thus
A kiss can haunt me through the longest night
Enticing my dreams to keep you in sight
'til I awake overwhelmed by your touch
But this is love and I know it is such
And soon I will see the light in your eyes
As your lips curve into that sultry smile
The nature of love is not versatile
For there is no weakness left to disguise
When our love is the strength that sets us free
And you are the heart that beats inside me

-----

Soned i Caru

Sleepy in the midday sun
With thee, my one, I find peace
I feel thy gentle heart beat
Defeat? It’s my sweet release
Thy breath echoes on my skin
And I grin as thee kiss me
My eyes in thine gazing deep
And I weep for I love thee
Thou art the one that did steal
The real spirit that was mine
Possessed as thou took my hand
Where I stand thou made me thine
And now in simple words of rhyme
I give thee my love for all time

Underneath the Arc

They seek the pot of gold at rainbow’s end
Rewards of money filling empty hearts
The high fashion world of appearing smart
Of make believe and don't we all pretend
All that matters is increasing our wealth
There's no time for love or caring for health
Nobody smiles for there’s no sense of joy
When money dictates the rules we employ
Yet beneath the arc made of vibrant hues
The wonder of love found its dwelling place
A gentle smile upon a lover's face
There is all to gain and nothing to lose
Under the rainbow where you and I stay
And, you know, I kind of like it that way
