2013 Poetry Form Challenge

#14 Kyrielle

This was once a very popular French form and dates from the Middle Ages. It is written in quatrains (four lines of poetry) which includes a Refrain B, (A repeat line, phrase, or word), and as is normal with French poetry it is syllabic (in this case eight syllables, English - "Tetrameter") to make up a quatrain rhyming thus:
a. a. b. B..... c. c. b. B... etc
each quatrain finishing with the same line, phrase or word (Refrain). Here is a typical example

Sands of Time

Gone are the care-free days of youth
Gone are the days when word was proof.
Once gentle age, no more sublime
Washed away by sands of time.

You not Fate chose where to go
Angels only advised, yes or no.
Watching the roads you chose to climb
Washed away by sands of time.

Some are born with a silver spoon
Others perish before its noon
Each life another pantomime
Washed away by sands of time.

Terry Clitheroe
As an alternative however, a rhyme may be used using alternate line rhyme and so would end up with a pattern of:
a. b. a. B...... c. b. c. B.
Constructing this poem the poet has quite a choice:

Cycles

We travel through our lives
Each day we leave our mark or brand
Like truck wheels on the virgin plains
Or footprints in the fresh beach sand

The wind will always raise the grass
Each new tide will refresh the strand
Then we will come with another pass
Or footprints in the fresh beach sand

The fields we have planted today
Will ripen slowly and expand
Each harvest simply man at play
Like footprints in the fresh beach sand

So the seasons wax and wane
Then once more we become the land
So the cycle begins again
Like footprints in the fresh beach sand

Terry Clitheroe
Another alternative is for the second OR third line not rhyme at all, then it ends up with:

a. X. a. B.....or.... a. b. X. B.

Amphibian a Go Go

I'm an action amphibian,
Can go as fast as any man,
Hells Angels have nothing on me,
I ride the highways wild and free.

You ought to see me do a stunt,
Please forgive me if I am blunt,
I do an excellent wheelie;
I ride the highways wild and free.

Sometimes I wear leather and chains,
Other times I don't take the pains,
No laws against my nudity,
I ride the highways wild and free.

I am well known both near and far,
In my own right I am a star,
Just ask anyone about "Oui,"
I ride the highways wild and free.

Fiona the Frog

I'm Fiona a modern frog
I have my own website and blog,
My pretty smile, I'd like to share,
Can't help it that I'm gorgeous dear!

I'm not on any ego trip,
But when I watch myself I flip,
And then I smile from ear to ear...
Can't help it that I'm gorgeous dear!

And though some dare to call me fat,
A matter of opinion that;
My beau says I'm perfect, so there!
Can't help it that I'm gorgeous dear!

I take this opportunity
To send greetings to you from me,
Ribbit to all my friends out there,
Can't help it that I'm gorgeous dear!

Sad News

This year had started very well,
Good things were in store I could tell
And then I got the news today,
An old 'net' friend has passed away.

We'd met on line at Poems Place,
I never saw him face to face,
But it really hurts me to say,
An old 'net' friend has passed away.

A pro at cowboy poetry
A fav'rite with everybody,
Rest in peace Rod is what I pray:
An old 'net' friend has passed away.

The Eyes

These empty hands have no sure hold
On a very cold heart,
But with loves arts it can be warmed,
For who could resist art?

-----

False Promises

His silver fish eyes clearly spoke,
This was his hold over my mind
A gaze crystalline that is no joke,
Grey ice melting apart my heart.

Slowly we swam loves purest moat
Surrounding the castle love dwelt
Imprisoned by fogs of lies float
Grey ice eyes melt apart my heart.

Here lies a heart in two pieces
Broken by deceitful lusts art,
Burned alive, dieing for release,
Grey ice eyes melt apart my heart.

Le Dos {The Back}

All my days it's held me upright
Always strong as days do go by,
It rarely fails to let me write,
In all I do there are few highs.

Without this structure I would die
Or be less than a human is;
A worm cannot write, cannot sigh,
In all I do there are few highs.

In spite of arthritis and pain
I find strength remains no guise,
As the day of birth, my gain,
In all I do there are few highs,

Dichotomy

Because of fate we must live apart
Seizing each moment of each day
Knowing now what is in my heart
Fate has said it must be this way.

Tempering souls whilst separate
With other souls we stop and play
Because of fate we must live apart
Fate has said it must be this way.

Drawing strength, learning the art
Treating life as if we're in a ballet
Or what is on the muses chart
Fate has said it must be this way.

Someday soon we will meet again
Feeling alive like we ne'r been away
Like times before passion will reign
Fate has said it must be this way.

Svetlana Zakharova - Swan Lake

-----

Heart of Stone

Every night I cut out my heart
Making promises to you alone.
In the morning its full again
Bouncing back from your heart of stone.

What can I say, what can I do?
I though you knew, I thought I'd shown
My beliefs, how I had been hurt
Bouncing back from your heart of stone.

Am I a fool to carry on?
Laughing!! Common sense must have flown
Out the door on meeting you, then
Bouncing back from your heart of stone.

But no, stupidity is not rare
And like love a capricious bone,
That any dog will toss and catch
Bouncing back from your heart of stone.

-----

Kind Memories

The beach sand has such memories
Not just the days activities,
But lovers walking by moonlight
You and I on this starry night.

Holding hands as we tread the sand
And talk of things as yet unplanned
Where feelings grow without the light
You and I on this starry night.

Stop and savour the evening breeze
Love words echoed from nearby trees
As slowly restrained passions ignite
You and I on this starry night.

Night birds echoes the lovers cries
Night wind echoes with its sighs
Lovers lie entwined in delight
You and I on this starry night.

-----

Opportunity

How often have I envied a bird
To do that sensibly is not absurd
I've flown higher out of their sky
I have the need and the desire to fly.

To achieve my need I have to cheat
They know, I know, they have me beat
Yet still each day I see them fly past
I have the need and the desire to fly.

Once it was a glider I was alone
Thermalling with them I felt I'd grown
Below black bottomed clouds a blast
I have the need and the desire to fly.

But yesterday I saw a scene of joy
I watched his flight he wasn't coy
Soaring, stunting, enjoying it all
Hence my need and my desire to fly.

-----

Promises Old and New

Sit on the beach with me tonight
On the warm sands 'neath starry skies
And I will kiss thee in moonlight
Just below where Capricorn lies.

The stars will smile, but what is new
What they see tonight is no surprise
For this has always been their view
Just below where Capricorn lies.

Young loves, old loves have made it so.
Love does not recognise ages prize
It exists where they choose to go
Just below where Capricorn lies.

But you and I have met again
And love to us is no surprise
Perhaps sounding an old refrain
Just below where Capricorn lies.

-----

Sweet Thunder

Oh such sweet thunder as we kiss
My heart pounding, loudly thumping
Our lips meet in heavenly bliss
My heart beating, wildly beating.

So closely pressing against me
Feeling your heart madly pulsing
We are overcome with the heat
My heart beating, wildly beating.

Oh the thunder as we unite
Madly beating, bodies thrusting
Breath gasping locked in loves old rite
My heart beating, wildly beating.

Such sweet thunder, still united
Vowing love, just lightly stroking
From passion we have descended
My heart beating, wildly beating.

-----

These Hands

These hands have not had a manicure
They were they never soft like you
Your safety my love I will ensure.
With these hands you can feel secure

How much do I love to touch you
And please you so love will endure
A simple touch, is this the key?
With these hands you can feel secure

How much with you do I love to play
And pleasure my life's amour
Love will light up the dullest day
With these hands you can feel secure

Your hands are so soft and tender
Absence from you they will cure
A simple touch and I surrender
With your hands I can feel secure

So small and pale a work of art
With your love I m never poor
Willingly giving you my heart
With your hands I can feel secure

The Time We're In

We speak from half a world around
For a short time, we are so close again
United by just voice and sound
How strange it is the time we're in

Yet is our love so very strange
We are together are we not?
Our lives and times we rearrange
How strange it is the time we're in

We know, we share, we love, each night
Or is it day? I do not know.
I only know that it feels so right
How strange it is the time we're in

In days long gone to loves we wrote
And time went so slow until the day
The postman's whistle heralded a note
It's better now the time we're in.

We read and treasured every word
Wrote a response and held our breath
Time would drag till again we heard
It's much quicker now the time we're in.

Temptation ever would be loves bane
For whist they wait 'twas easy to sin
But what's so different is the same
It's much easier now the time we're in.

Uncharted Waters

Our tour guides are fellow travelers,
Equally lost and unsure of their parts
Played in emotion's deep-backwaters
In the uncharted waters of the heart.

Backpacking each day exploring the way
Sometimes lost, sometimes lucky, smart
How can a leader not know what to say?
In the uncharted waters of the heart.

Where each one must chart a course of need
Sometimes accede to ways that will impart
A smoother journey that will in time succeed
In the uncharted waters of the heart.

Always looking, seeking a star to follow
Yet ignores each offering, each start
Sometimes means one own life is hollow
In the uncharted waters of the heart.

-----

Units of Love

Heaven is the kiss that never dies
Sadness is a feeling never benign
Worst's the feeling of loves demise
On hearing quietly whispered "I am thine".

Music is the joined beating of two hearts
Sometimes a fast dance feelings divine
Sometimes a dirge like when lovers part
Never to hear whispers like, "I am thine".

Fingers are movements down your spine
Possession is three words, "You are mine"
Happiness your touch as our souls entwine
On hearing quietly whispered "I am thine".

Contentment is the long arms that embrace
Knowing your lover is there for all time
The pleasant feeling when your pulses race
On hearing quietly whispered "I am thine".

Your Wings Have Touched My Heart

I have known you so short a time, and yet
I have known you so many lives beyond
In truth I know our lives are bonded forever
Your wings have touched my heart so strong.

The circles of life have touched us often
Life's circle continues in it we drift along
But we will know now life and love forever
Your wings have touched my heart so strong.

Next time who knows? What'll we be you and I
But I know each time where our hearts belong
On the wall of fate I wish I was the fly
Your wings have touched my heart so strong.

Wheels controlling our destiny are in line
I pray they will bring us ever closer along
I know, the wheel slows down each time
Your wings touch my heart so strong.

A Bond Within

Strange the tears that dwell inside
That a saddened heart shant heal
Within the hurt may nurture pride
That only her lovers kiss may seal.

Why must she weep sad tears alone
When lovers know how it may feel
For broken hearts remain as prone
But only a loved ones kiss may seal.

Hark I hear his endearing voice
Was that thee my love so genteel
That returneth to me by choice
For only thy loving kiss may seal.

Come hither thou to me my love
Let the love in thine eyes reveal
All that thou shall be worthy of
'Tis all thy loving kiss may seal.

-----

Awakened Spirit

When time on earth hath come to pass
Shalt place a weary head e'er I sleep
There upon a mound of meadow grass
Lest thy saddened heart shalt weep.

O Heartless pulse stop let me rest
For soon a memory shalt thou keep
Sacred time on earth once bless'd
Lest thy saddened heart shalt weep.

Think of me not cold within my tomb
When warmth of past remains deep
Safely within mother natures womb
Lest thy saddened heart shalt weep.

Time returneth thy incarnation
Whilst the meadow again shall reap
Shalt arise once more within elation
Lest thy saddened heart shalt weep.

Book of Fantasies

What is better than to read a book
Perusing alone within a shady nook
Within a quiet haven of own accord
Surrounded by fantasies written word.

By the turn of a page crisp and new
The very feel shall be a pleasure too
A luxury that the mind shall afford
Surrounded by fantasies written word

Romantic fiction from bygone days
An ancient era of word and phrase
Bold knights of scabbard and sword
Surrounded by fantasies written word.

Tales of the sea and tales of inland
All discovered by the reader in hand
Final chapter of all words explored
Surrounded by fantasies written word.

Eternal Knot

Shalt not I thy true beloved be
For 'tis I who shalt honour thee
Whether pleasant or distraught.
Thy pleasures shalt fail thee not.

Feel my presence for I am there
A warmth of love thou may share
Eternal love is better than nought
Thy pleasures shalt fail thee not.

Hold dear this love as passions flow
As time goes by this love shalt grow
To forever tether the eternal knot
Thy pleasures shalt fail thee not.

Feathers to the Wind

I rode the prairie rough and wild
My ancestors past I vowed to find
Their land was my home as a child
Lost are the feathers to the wind.

How did it happen how could it be
They had no means of a legal bind
This land was for all wild and free
Lost are the feathers to the wind.

They say it was taken away by greed
How could they have been so blind
For their food was from blown seed
Like the lost feathers to the wind.

They had no rights`twas taken away
Man against man who treats unkind
May forever be at liberty to say
Lost are the feathers to the wind.

Gamely Wench

I'd say I was a gamely wench
That drunk a good flagon or two
Ne'er one to be sat on a bench
'Til I had me more than a few.

Tho' I never was a hard drinker
I just love the taste of the brew
But by hook, line, or to sink her
I shall have me more than a few.

Yea I'd say It was a gamely run
And so were them menly folk too
For when I had me more than fun
I shalt have me more than a few.

I am not what you think I am
Sober with one I may be true
And never again end up in a jam
'Til I had me more than a few.

On Impulse

So wide is the lake before me
How deep within loves emotion
That shalt set my feelings free.
My love is deeper than any ocean

Why do I sit here upon my own
With a heartful of loves devotion
I cannot swim and I remain alone
But love is deeper than any ocean.

In my dream I saw him waving
To attract me was his intention
And I knew my love was craving
For love is deeper than any ocean.

On impulse I had needs to swim
Relax my fear of inborn tension
To remain within the arms of him
With a love deeper than any ocean.

Run Of The Mill

How cruel a shift within the mill
Within the past century of old
Work was hard with no free will
Life was the price of a fools gold.

Women toiled as hard as a man
And had to do as they were told
Vanity was not within a mans plan
To earn the price of a fools gold.

Children never ventured to school
Their pleasures was never on hold
They grew stronger but ne-er a fool
Yet earned the price of fools gold.

Life was hard and the days were long
And the nights were as bleak as cold
There was no joy within a sad song
Life was the cost of a fools gold.

Sherlock And Watson

What happened to Sherlock Holmes
And accomplished Doctor Watson
Victims are not safe within homes
For fear of one devious person.

Elementary friends have a clue
They discovered upon a laiason
Detectives of past remain true
With plans for one devious person.

'I say old boy crime is to blame`
Says Sherlock it stands to reason
Watson says 'yes but all the same
He must be one devious person.`

All in all a mystery was solved
Locked in a prison for treason
But if ever this crime revolves
He shall be one devious person.

Ten Tiny Toes

Ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes
How verse shall be put together
It's all so easy what a baby knows
Shall remain in his mind forever.

Pat a cake pat a cake bakers man
So easy for a child to endeavour
What a mother tells when she can
Shall remain in his mind forever.

Ride cock horse to banberry cross
Upon his mothers knee or whatever
Mother she knows for she is boss
What remains in his mind forever.

If babies can recall all these things
Then this bond shall not ever sever
Apart from verse he learns to sing
Which remains in his heart forever.

Witness Of Love

We who hath beset our emotions
Shalt ere seeketh of devotion
Casting aside our frivolous ways
Love shall be our witness this day

I shalt e'er recall of thy charm
When I lay content in thy arm
Amidst heather upon thee braes
Love shall be our witness this day

Plant thy kiss for I could not take
Lest inner passion should awake
Pray do not go for thou must stay
Love shall be our witness this day.

Shall this be our foreseen destiny
When love was meant for eternity
Such deepness within eyes display
For love shall be witness this day.

Youthful Frivolity

I recall spring when I was young
With imagination the songs I sung
Back then I was only a young maid
Skipping merrily within the glade.

Dreams of fantasy crossed my mind
Apart from nature twas another kind
That had caused my past to fade
Skipping merrily within the glade.

What I felt was so deep inside
Of love that could not be denied
For my past was left in the shade
Skipping merrily within the glade.

I knew not what my life had done
All I knew that this was to be fun
Oh how I still wish I was that maid
Skipping merrily within the glade.

In Winter's Garden

In winter I waltz with my rake
It leads me and I let it take
Control of my emotions
As I succumb to its potion

We glide across the sleeping ground
Twirling and circling all around
We dare to make a commotion
As I succumb to its potion

There's magical music we hear
It only plays this time of year
For gardeners with devotion
As I succumb to its potion

Souls Ease

At Peace

Another day is done at last,
each day now seems to go so fast...
For now, my dues have all been paid,
at peace, I watch the sunset fade.

Contented with my earthly lot,
I settle in my favoured spot
and watch the light play in the glade,
at peace, I. Watch the sunset fade.

in hues of red and gold, it flows
across the shrubs, the tall dog-rose,
illuminates each leaf and blade;
at peace, I watch. The sunset fade.

deprives the world of warmth and light,
and yet the scene is etched so bright
within my mind, it is displayed...
At peace, I watch the sunset fade.

-----

Moonlight Seranade

I gaze across the silent Earth,
watching the moment of rebirth.
A woman walks into the glade,
I hear the moonlight serenade.

Her skin is silvered by the light;
beneath, her passions will ignite.
Upon the ground she’s now arrayed;
I hear the moonlight serenade.

She gives herself up readily
to Luna, shining steadily,
and as her form begins to fade
I hear the moonlight serenade.

-----

Spring Enduring

So slow and subtle, yet never still,
almost as cold as the death it cheats,
bound to a purpose, an iron will,
beneath the ground, a proud heart still beats.

Hidden so deep from the winter cold,
waiting with patience 'til chill retreats.
Sentience born when the world was old,
beneath the ground, a proud heart still beats.

Strength found in beauty, and all that's good,
never dismayed by its dark defeats,
vigour that lives on in stone and wood,
beneath the ground, a proud heart still beats.

Earth holds its breath as the sleeper wakes,
heralds of green so restrained, discreet,
marking the birth of the Spring, that waits
beneath the ground, a proud heart still beats.

The Storyteller

You touch me with the tales you tell
of love and lovers matched so well.
I feel their strength; they keep me warm,
with silken words you clothe my form.

On journeys to the farthest stars
my mind explores, there are no bars
to hold me back, I'll ride the storm,
with silken words. You clothe my form

so delicate, the ones you use
the perfect one you always choose,
unlike my mind, in helpless swarm
with silken words, you clothe my form.

And so my mind will feed on yours,
I'll follow you where eagle soars!
Adventures always are the norm,
with silken words, you clothe my form.

My eyes are heavy, time to sleep,
yet I will never cry or weep,
for even dreams you can transform!
With silken words, you clothe my form.

Jamies Song

We walked through the gilded gateway
Towards the moonlit castle keep
Without a word, nothing to say
Here where the black-winged dragons sleep

As silent as Death's last whisper
We slowly move in the night creep
The night singed, her breath crisper
Here where the black-winged dragons sleep

And we fall to our knees inside
The door before her eyes can weep
In silver light no place to hide
Here where the black-winged dragons sleep

The moon sparkles upon her wings
The power of flight within their sweep
And we tremble over these things
Here where the black-winged dragons sleep

The fear that on our tongues we taste
In saline sweetness feel it seep
Like dark-robed children we make haste
Here where the black-winged dragons sleep

Too late! Leathered lids slowly rise
The flames of amber start to leap
In her eyes, her welcoming eyes
Here where the black-winged dragons sleep

Our time has come at last tonight
The dragon children cannot weep
But now must spread their wings in flight
Here where the black-winged dragons sleep.

Beautiful Woman

When I walk my fat thighs jiggle
and my bum, oh my!, does wiggle;
it does not matter Im not slim,
I am a beautiful woman.

Sometimes a lady, circumspect,
insist on treatment with respect;
for even when my hair's undone,
I am a beautiful woman.

A load of smarts, I'm funny too;
I can hammer though prefer to screw;
can hold my own against any man,
I am a beautiful woman.

My eyes, they'll glow with raw desire,
my body burn with passion's fire,
hot and sexy when I've a whim,
I am a beautiful woman.

Thankful for these gifts received,
care about those with less than me,
generous, loving, do what I can,
I am a beautiful woman.

My soul has been described as old,
within my breast beats heart of gold,
I am secure with who I am,
I am a beautiful woman.

Days Pass By

I fear to laugh and so to weep
The scars I wear are old and deep
Live on I must, at least to try
I do my best as days pass by.

Fate treats me ill, she is not kind
Promised me once then changed her mind
Warm heart turns cold as questions why
I do my best as days pass by.

We loved, he left then came once more
Impatient, wait for rap on door
That will not come for all I cry
I do my best as days pass by.

News here at last I hoped might come
But words aren't right, seems Fate has won
Her victor's spoils I can't deny
I did my best as days passed by.

Too weary for another test
I swallow sleep's eternal rest
My love my love my love I sigh
Into death's mist and days pass by.

Know Not What To Do

Into dreams, unbidden, you come;
Stars shine bright; a sliver, the moon.
Across the miles two become one-
Oh, love, I know not what to do.

Alone was my way, all my life;
Never knew love 'til I found you.
Now I see me as loving Wife-
Oh, love, I know not what to do.

Am I reading between the lines?
Oh God I'd feel like such a Fool.
Yet we're so much alike, one mind-
Oh, love, I know not what to do.

Had nothing to give, nor knew how;
Lived my life with nary a clue.
I see the truth, obvious now-
Oh, love, I know not what to do.

Icy shroud has begun to melt;
Cupid's arrow has pierced me through.
The pain orgasmically heartfelt-
Oh, love, I know not what to do.

Never felt such wonder before;
My fragile heart is pure and true.
Insatiable now, I want more-
Oh, God, I know not what to do.

Desirous Dreams

Go to sleep in the arms of night
Close your eyes drift away tonight
Obtaining dreams you desire
in love and life you admire

Sleep well cover up from the cold
And relax to a deep sleep hold
whispers of cold winds inspire
in love and life you admire

Loving thoughts bring satisfied dreams
a new you seen with self-esteem
Fluffy soft clouds to retire
in love and life you admire

alone in darkness of the room
Where all dreams perceive futures groom
dreams drift by in dreams required
in love and life you admire

The chills have left and warmth sets in
As the sunshine glows deep within
Sporadic calms you've acquired
in love and life you admire.

Happiness

We realized we want happiness
Like a lighting bolt it hit hard
Realized how vital, we confess
this puzzling word we now need

weve drifted away and found stress
A part of life planted with speed
A puzzle piece thats been missing
this puzzling word we now need

We search everywhere for progress
In faces, on land, in the skies
Why have we not possessed
this puzzling word we now need

A gemstone of life to express
Easy to say we did concede
Lets step into happier times
this puzzling word we now need

Special Bard Part I

Someone special entered the door
He entered into my hearts shore
A unique friend who felt my strife
A Bard has touched my puzzled life

A one of a kind special friend
To help mend puzzles of loose ends
A friend of comfort through life's rife
A Bard has touched my puzzled life

A Bard who puts smiles galore
When pieces of puzzles were sore
A special friend who lights my life
A Bard has touched my puzzled life

Part II

Yes, my Bard has felt my sadness
He's been there for me when needed
At trying times of loneliness
Easing crying with laughter's seed

He's lent an ear in bitterness
He's been there to celebrate deeds
Through the good creeds, through the badness
Easing crying with laughter's seed

You're the missing piece of progress
my Bard, a special caring breed
I value what you've done for us
Easing crying with laughter's seed

A strong relationship that glows
Through life we create destinations

Clarity

I was never much of a sage,
But know so well at this my age
As through my memories I drift,
Clarity of thought is a gift.

Though through troubled waters I swam,
It's good to know I was...I am
Just knowing this is quite a lift
Clarity of thought is a gift.

Steeped in the knowledge my life is
Not mine at all...for it is His,
As through remembrances I sift
Clarity of thought is a gift.

Kyrielle of Your Senses

Your Presence - 1

I feel your presence all the time
I feel your soul and mine touching
Our lives begin to intertwine
This feeling to me is everything

To you I dedicate each rhyme
My body, my soul every feeling
I feel your presence all the time
A feeling that to me is everything

Through lives together spirits climb
Close to nirvana our lives we bring
Til that moment that is sublime
When we will possess everything

Your Scent - 2

The scent of you is that of oil
The fragrance of a thousand years
A million flowers enriched soil
The fragrance of a thousand years.

A scent from which I'd ne'r recoil
Like nectar of these floral seers
And from their tender loving toil
Comes fragrance of a thousand years.

Mere perfume where the juices boil
Or ambergris torn out with spears
Cannot surpass, their substance spoil
Not this fragrance of a thousand years.

Your Sight - 3

Your sight is bless'd like golden morn
Surrounding like a halo on waking
A piece of heaven has been torn
To light the day, for our making.

A smile that fades the waking dawn
Your look lights the day that's breaking
And so each day my life is born
To light the day, for our making.

And more each day to you I'm drawn
The sight of you so breathtaking
Each star wishing to you adorn
To light the day, for our making.

Your Taste - 4

Your taste is that of finest wine
Giv'n by the Gods worthy to sup
Thy heavenly juice taste is divine
Thy love was made to fill the cup.

No drunken sot, yet I cannot sate
Nor will I be ever filled up
My thirsting of your heady state
Thy love was made to fill the cup.

Fruit picked whilst fresh with dew
Then added and with love made up
Till juice and love are mixed as one
Thy love was made to fill the cup.

Your Touch - 5

Your touch is of the hottest flame
That makes me burn with desire
So familiar, yet I feel no shame
So many others know of my fire.

Your touch so casual, like a game
Feeding the fuel of a lasting pyre
Your touch is of the hottest flame
So many others know of my fire.

Cupid shot with an unerring aim
Thus twice I love, twice I'm afire
No simple arrow can lay claim
So many others know of my fire.

Your Voice - 6

Your voice is a pleasant refrain
On a warm summers afternoon
Softly falling in loves domain
Pleasing my ears with its tune.

Make no mistake I do not feign
Nor been touched by the moon
Your voice is the sound of rain
Pleasing my ears with its tune.

The sweetest sound I'll hear again
And not tire of it, I beg this boon
For that sound I wish to retain
Pleasing my ears with its tune.

The Halls of Eternity hear its sound
And welcome it lifting the gloom
As happiness lifts us from life's pain
Pleasing all around with its tune.

Your Soul - 7

Your soul is pure, your love true
The past is gone but you are here,
There will be no future 'thout you
Eternity will become our domain.

You turned to me offering your soul,
And I accepted, I did not refuse
We are now closer to being whole
As eternity becomes our domain.

No longer having sorrows to hide
We will rejoice as soul lovers do.
Together through Eternity we'll abide
As it has become our domain.

The window of love was open to both
With smiles and tears we accepted it
And all we'll do is cause its growth
As it has become our domain.
