2012 Poetry Form Challenge
#24 Alfred Dorn Sonnet
The Alfred Dorn sonnet originated in a Formalist publication contest. Each
year the Formalist runs a sonnet contest where the applicants make up their
own form of sonnet. The sonnet form is named after the winning applicant,
and in this case Alfred Dorn was the winner and the sonnet he devised named
The Alfred Dorn sonnet is different than most sonnets, in that it has an
Italian sestet and a Sicilian sestet linked by a couplet. Both sestets share
common rhyme set by the first line. The rhyme scheme is as follows;
a. b. c.
a. b. c. ... d. d.
... a. e. a.
e. a. e.
NOTE! In the example chosen the sestets and the couplet are shown separate.
In realatity they are joined to make the 14 line form of the sonnet.
As candles gently glow in amber light,
the picture centered high upon the wall,
appears to take a life form of its own.
Yet thoughts of her are stronger on this night.
He views her fleeting image in the hall,
as he sits drunk, contented, and alone.
He rises, sets the glass upon the sink.
She appears only when he takes a drink.
Still drawn to her fair, luminescent sight,
he stumbles through the hall, to hesitate;
then tremble, as his body chokes with fright,
to see her form begin to levitate,
sprout angel's wings, then suddenly take flight,
while he remains to curse the hand of fate.

A Christmas Angst
I thought I'd done one many years ago
The name seemed so familiar to me
But when I checked my files to my dismay
I discovered sadly this was not so
Then I must do one I thought anxiously
And this is what I’ve tried to do today.
An Alfred Dorn Sonnet… it's different too
I hope it turns out well or I’ll be blue.
I'm on the last sestet I watch it grow
With luck ere too long it will be complete
I'm on the home stretch, I can feel the glow
Of satisfaction, I am on my feet;
I'm so relieved I cannot help but show
My excitement, the victory is sweet.
back to list
Stopping for a while to savour my glass of port
My stomach full, relaxed and my mind wanders
I'm not overly bothered about what, or if I write.
There is no pressure or reason for me to exhort,
Poetry causes images and encourages ponders
I don't care if you disagree, I know that I'm right.
One more sip as lovely music plays on my radio
Relaxing even more as I savour Barbers Adagio.
This music's given me such inspiration, support,
And so much poetry has it dragged out of me.
It's helped me so many times to write and court,
And tell her of my love and desires for us to be.
We must also speak of how desire helps transport
The passion existing ever between me and shee.
Voices of the dead whisper to me,
In voices speaking forgotten tongues
About tribal memories of lost souls
Touching my mind with their plea.
Making images of their spoken longs
Barely audible sounds echoes, rolls
Flashing before me filled with pain
Wail their misery again and again.
A din of so many voices inside me
Making me pray for their own good.
Grief, like a crown of thorns on me
Tears my flesh, I'm sponged with blood.
No way can I remove the pain from me
Or blood and sweat that from me floods.
Once two lovers met and shared
Just for a while they knew bliss
And all was perfect for just them.
There is no doubt that each cared
Or shared the magic with each kiss
And ignorance would only condemn.
The fact is they shared their soul
Separate, they could not be whole.
What was wrong can be repaired
No need to start over once again.
I believe that fate has us all pared
And yours and my soul is the same
Experienced now we are prepared
Don't let our love wilt and die in vain.
Facts of Life
It is so beautiful after the rain has passed,
The air is still, fresh with wet fragrance
Birds sounds loudly celebrate the Earth.
Around me a forest of flowers is cast;
Opening their petals at every chance,
Behaving like tarts for all they are worth.
Freshly opened after the hammering rain
And though Queens they have a short reign.
Then as the Australian Sun returns at last
From shiny green plants see steam rise
Then gradually lustrous shades will be past.
All too soon we will see dullness and flies,
A familiar brown landscape will be amassed,
This moment of peace forgotten by our eyes.
You made a wish upon a falling star
Falling from the sky, crashing to earth.
In it's dying moments it heard your plea,
And wished to help a stranger from afar.
It crashed and burned, it found its worth
For in doing so, its soul became free.
It may wish for one more night in heaven
Or make its peace and wish to be forgiven
A star that falls may also have a dream,
Or perhaps a secret love, so divine,
And wish for just one more night it seems.
But fate alas is bound to decline.
Our dreams have ended it would seem
And the falling star wished upon was mine.
Flight Out of Penang
Whilst flying home I looked out the window
Down below I saw the reason for our delay
Multi coloured flashes lighting up the clouds
I thought of chaos that might be there in Ipoh
My favourite city here, and thought of the way
Nature had covered her up in white shrouds.
I sat back and enjoyed the comfort of my plane
Twenty thousand feet above and will remain.
KL is clear, we land and receive another blow
Were late and need to rush from gate to gate
I don't care and walk along not fast nor slow
Its the airlines fault, I know they'll have to wait,
But once on board, I receive my final blow
Instead of four for four seats, there's eight.
Hourglass of Eternity
The morning sun, still rises again
I hear the birds sing their song
See the bushes waving in the breeze.
Feel the soft warm drops of rain
Yet somehow, it all feels wrong
Because Nature ignores my pleas.
Reluctantly I begin another day
For time and tide cause me to go away
The evening mist soothes the night
The moon shines above the trees
And twilight sets the stars alight.
Why must fate constantly tease
By stealing away what is right
And bringing me to my knees?
I Taste Your Essence
I taste your essence on my lips
I sense your spirit in the wind
Requiring me to make no excuse.
I feel you now at my fingertips
And see you smiling in my mind
Oh such passioned flowing juice!
Your trembles to my touch say please
A passionate clutch forbids me tease.
I'm the bee and from you honey drips
So sweet a special nest doth grow.
The heavenly dust of passion grips
The white hot heat of Heavens snow.
The drug of love giving me such trips
And then after leaves us both aglow.
Inside the splendour of your eyes
I see truth and unquestioned trust
Implied by knowing you so long.
Cupid's arrow's set, the arrow flies
In landing knocks away the crust
Of resistant walls built so strong.
The sun may set, but there is always
Knowledge of other and better days.
Together as we watch the sun arise
We know now that it will ever be so
Each day awake there is no surprise
And with eve our passion will show
Our right to trust and claim our prize
Eternity together will be ours to know.
I'm jealous of midnight's moon glow
Its soft rays kiss you while you sleep
In absentia I wish each one from me
I wish I were there beside you now
As the hours so slowly forward creep
And those languid eyes I long to see.
Those balmy days when we were close
Make me resent midnight's moon glow
I'm jealous of the night skies closeness
For my fingers ache to touch your face.
It's day here and I must be dreamless
But in my distant bed, memories race
And I remember our nightly nearness.
I'm jealous as the moon takes my place.
Love Never Left
The feeling never leaves when you love someone
It's with you for eternity when your soul is shared
The parting of this lifetime when your lover dies.
Sob gently over her, your tears constantly flow on
That you will never meet again should not be feared
Her spirit looking at you listening to your cries.
If being together is part of the greater beings plan
Then you'll be united, your woman, with her man.
Her spirits touch, a spirits kiss, a spirits gentle tears
Knowing deeply in her heart that you love her so.
Keeps her by your side through the passing years
Her spirit smiles knowing you'll never let her go
You feel her guiding you, helping meet your fears
So that with each passing day love will only grow.
In the forest that your life has become
The world is gone and all is in shadow
There is a silence that overwhelms so much.
When lovers met hearts beat like a drum
But later when there is no happy hello
Or worst the avoidance of a single touch.
Goodbye is never an easy word to say
Harder still if held back to an easier day
A greater pain if you still love that someone
Then you find there is nowhere to hide.
Tis best let go allowing pain to overcome
And let your senses have their wild ride
Then reel all in and sense in all that come
So that in time all pain can be laid aside.
Peace From a Forest Pool
See the sunrays flickering through
In the soft, silent lush green forest
With sprinkling pillars of golden air
And insects like smoke invade the view
Then disappear like any Will O Wisp
Leaving the pool to the morning glare.
Lily-pad laden borders fingers spread
Blooms tint the pool from white to red.
Mist shrouded fern and grass with dew
Are silent as night life goes to sleep.
The next shift needs takes on a life anew
So for a while there is a silence deep.
And peace reigns here in this bayou
As beast and plant this balance keep.
I heard no sound in the trees today
The birds were silent as they mourned
The wind did not disturb their mood.
We will always want that it will stay
But the death of spring was forewarned
And wanting it be cooler is no good.
I heard no sound in the trees today,
But it doesn't mean summers here to stay.
I heard no sound in the trees today
The pains of season's birth ease for awhile,
But the signs are that heat is on its way.
The northerly winds will cause a trial
As friendly winds of fall are months away
But in the end will serve to make us smile.
Stolen moments spent in loving you
When lovers lie and for a while can share
What can be considered forbidden fruits.
Once touched you see a different view
From someone who you know will care
But your love can only count in minutes.
But those sacred moments spent together
Though sparse you know, will last forever
Time spent waiting for those moments again,
Will seem like years though only days pass.
And sometimes will feel too much a strain,
But for the moment there is nothing else alas.
Then look into your lovers eyes and be certain,
And see by that look that your love will last.
Watching the Hawk
Watching the hawk circle in the morning draught
Seeking out the currents to carry her on high.
Other avians remain silent as she ascends
Jealous of her wingspan and natural craft.
The earthbound humans simply wish to fly
And to be the envy of all their friends.
The Gods chose wisely with this gift
Between Angels and birds there is no rift.
Later the hawk circles in the afternoon draught
She is well fed and seeking only pleasure
And lofts heavenwards on a thermal shaft
That the sun has created without measure
In happiness hear again the avian laughed
Only she appreciates what is true treasure.

A Bond of Love
How deep is this bond of love we shared
Passion lies deeper within a lovers hold
Finds peace and perfect harmony within
Loving hearts shalt not e`er be compared
The spirits that were in past days of old
How canst these feeling be cast as a sin
Precious the affections of heavenly bliss
Sweetness is the dew of a morning kiss
Time passed by this love grew stronger
Each perfect day much more than before
The power of love shall stay much longer
This bond to be cherished forever more
Thus affections so true shall ever linger
A life time of passion we can not ignore.
Thundrous skies with clouds bearing rain
Floods that take over residential homes
Shall prayers be answered at Yule tide
Shall they ever see the sun once again
Or the green meadows of forest loam
When they have no place left to reside
If only the clouds shall go in the spring
And the nightingale returns back to sing
Bringing hope to this Island of sorrow
Strength of hope for those so in need
That have resorted to beg and borrow
The homeless once again shall succeed
To start again and thrive for tomorrow
As they reap the meadow harvest seed.
Enchanting moments within a golden light
A dance within circles on a summer eve
Faeries that glow neath a star spangled sky
Voices of angels that sing thro`the night
If only mankind shall find faith to believe
That faeries shall ever remain a little shy
Within the enchantment of a magical ring
They shall but dance as sweet voices sing
But return to silence when timing is right
When mystical charms are quite spell bound
Upon dewy clad fairies of a pastoral white
Nought but silence of song and dance found
Within the circle not a thing was left in sight
But tiny footprints upon a dewy clad ground.
Elvin Wood Party
There's a party tonight at Elvin Wood Hall
To celebrate events ofa New Years Eve
With lots of red berries and loads of nuts
Knock at the door when you come to call
Sweet brambles within snow clad leaves
To indulge from the bowls of acorn cups
With crab apple cider to wash it all down
For wild life who live on the edge of town
There's lots of room for family and friend
For a wild party upon the new years spree
If you dont like cider you can but pretend
And relieve the lot neath the acorn tree
Upon first of January when troubles end
The wildest of wild life shall ever be free.
Realm Of Fantasy
The grand procession has just begun
Within the realm of elvins and faes
To welcome all upon a sunlit morn
That dance to the fiddle and drum
Over meadows and down the brae's
Thro' pastures ripe with golden corn
Where the waters of earth run free
Tiny ripplets that flow from the sea
Wherever wavelets of water seeps
Within harmony the dance goes on
The music in perfect timing keeps
Until the light of the day has gone
It is then their procession sleeps
The brightest star shall shine upon.
Slight of a Maid
'Twas by the banks of the riverside.
Upon the edge of a soft green meadow
Two maids were awashing of the linen
A pledge to be scrubbed by yule tide
Yet tongues shall wag words shall flow
Their gossip of them who were sinnen
One wiped perspiration from her brow
Was it she they were talking about now
There was nothing that she had to hide
Not a thing that she could not overcome
What she did was kept within her pride
She was chaste within more than some
Who had kept her secrets deep inside
How dare she infer that I am the one.
What beast is this that blows his horn
When all the forest is trying to sleep
Does he care not that noise offends
This land of nod is the land of scorn
Peace be there within a silence keep
If a land of nod had ever been born
What of the owl that hoots all night
Shrieking calls of terror and fright
A mouse escapes in a field of corn
Just for the need of perfect peace
Sleepless nights are within disarray
Wrestless dreams shall never cease
It has always forever been that way
For none shall tame the wildest beast
He shall blow his horn come what may.
Such beauty was shown within his stance
Thy spirited steed of the meadow wild
Who shall tread the paths of freedom
He bore his tribal name of sun dance
Who was when young gentle and mild
Yet brave and strong for his kingdom
Such was expected of an Indian pony
He led the sacred herd of shoshone
Thro' a wild and defenseless domain
Where spirits of his ancestors roam
It was here he had returned again
To a canyon that was once his home
Where heat from a sun bore no rain
Rest the spirits of past within loam.
She slinks on by wearing a sexy black dress
So tight and revealing her image must show
A body that shall tempt a man of the night
She has the technique of a wild prowess
That tempts interests that can but grow
When deep in thought and her time is right
A look within her eyes shall tempt him much
She shall be the one his interests touch
A sensual charm within a hypnotized spell
It maybe he who shall take her in his arms
She is only a temptress that knows so well
How she shall provoke her worldly charms
That her natural instincts shall surely tell
His priorities are that love never harms.
Words of Passion
What shalt be more poetic than words of love
That charms the heart of love softly spoken
Passions within a gentle sense of touch
Soft the eyes that shimmer of stars above
Shalt be the charms of their gifted token
Bestowed upon precious hearts thereof
They shalt ever be sad with tears of sorrow
Heartache that may shall be gone tomorrow
For pleasure within shall remain hereof
The joys of love shall be with them forever
When dreams are alike such captivation of
Both inner thoughts that combine together
What shalt be more poetic than words of love
Sweet words of passion shalt part them never.

A Christmas Angst
I'm sat here staring at their smiling face
I've heard their jokes so many times before,
Another slice of cake, sweet cherry wine
My heart's longing to see another place
I can't stand the same stories any more
But I hear my voice whisper 'yes, I’m fine'.
There is nothing to do to make it right,
I want to be dancing with her tonight.
Someone is singing of Amazing Grace
My mind is thinking of kissing her lips
My eyes looking on revealing no trace
Of the passion that has me in its grips
The Christmas feast has become a new race
From child to youth this teen in love now slips.
Good Morning Love
It is you my eyes are longing to see
As morning light falls softly on your skin
That brief time that you are sleeping still
I watch the shadows of dawn dancing free
And hear your breath gently drawing them in
As my senses rise up to overspill.
I want to touch you now, my sleeping love,
Yet hold back to gaze longer from above.
I long to feel you moving close to me
So I may kiss your eyes awake today
Then whisper how tender my love can be
As the tendrils of good morning make play
Come to me my lover, you are the key
That opens my soul wherever we lay.
There are no more tears left to cry for you,
Instead I come to say a last goodbye
The time has come for me to let you go.
Now that love has shown me what I must do;
Release the past within a silent sigh
Where the rapid waters begin to flow.
A single rose, a bud of perfect white
Is setting sail into the long goodnight;
I’ll not forget the times of me and you
But let me go and rest on peacefully.
My heart was lost too long; you know it’s true,
Inside your darkness I felt safe you see
Until a brighter light came shining through
To show my heart it could again be free.
Needles of Pain
Oh silent heart that speaks of love each night
That hides the wounds that dare not see the truth
Needles of pain that pierce erotic dreams
Now speak again to grasp the breath of light
As souls caress the mind to gently sooth
Before the darkest hour consumes my screams.
Sweet silence that is my heart's own cry
Cannot escape destiny in her sigh.
Confusion reigns within clarity’s sight
And tear-filled eyes are too clouded to see
Yet in those moments when senses excite
Sweet glimpses of the future come to be
Where her love can conquer the deepest fright
And I see the beauty she’s given me.
I made a wish upon a distant star
That her sweet lips are kissed by warm sunshine
While I tarry in the cold winter snow
And if her thoughts should then wander so far
Let her recall the words of love were mine
On that winter’s night she made my world glow.
For I recall the summer in her eyes
And the taste of ocean’s breeze in her sighs.
Oh should my love look out upon a star
May she feel my touch through all time and space
And let her hear the softly strummed guitar
That serenades her from another place
As she has left her mark, a painless scar
That holds my soul within her loving grace.

Embrace Me Once More
Once more I feel your hands upon my own
This cherished moment fills empty spaces
Between my emotions naked branches
I see you clearly, yet I am alone
In dark of night I miss your embraces
Severed from your touch and loving glances
Our hands were never to be apart
I've traced and sculptured yours into my heart
Lonely without you I am cold as stone
I know my love you shall never return
What pleasures from your caresses I've known
How can tomorrow satisfy my yearn
As I search for you everywhere I roam
I see embers of our love that still burn.
I see the snow falling within the glass
A picture perfect scene glued together
Where children stand alike statues frozen
Watching snowflakes remain upon faux grass
Same forecast each day no change in weather
In the background each character chosen
When turned upside down it does not matter
No one looks any slimmer or fatter
See Santa waving his bell made of brass
As children skate around a Christmas tree
Vendors on sidewalks sell their homemade crafts
I marvel at the details so tiny
Inside a setting where time does not pass
Winter's beauty encased in fantasy.

Perfume of a heart
Mixed internally with fragments of belief,
tempting and alluring in crystal purity,
the perfume of a heart remains a mystery.
Bottled and preserved in the fragility of grief
and hidden in the mess of life's complexity
alone it stands awaiting manifested energy.
The scent of womanhood powerful in air
boards each day the train to stations of nowhere.
Once a dreamer; how it travelled in search of relief
across the plains, reality, into twilight time.
Now the residue grown thick with disbelief
germinates and sprouts in shadows of the night
a stranger to the truth and the missing cloverleaf
on stems of life and living in this present time.

One Way Street
One way streets twist my tortured soul
turning in circles, lost; confused.
Was that the street I needed? NO
it went the opposite way! Foul!
No fair! I am SO not amused!
A sadist designed this cruel road!
PANIC! as I go round and round,
Signs pointing but no exit found.
Should I pull over and scowl?
Just keep going until the dawn?
Oh, what to do, throw in the towel?
My mind spent, stifling a yawn
I keep going, but want to howl
Someone get me out of this town!

November paints with somber hue
to mute October's splashed abstract.
Whistling Winter waits in the wings
with his palette of white and blue,
slight blush of rose used to distract,
pay tribute to his mistress Spring.
Sparrows chirp softly in the eaves,
field mice burrow 'neath crisp leaves.
Frost merrily sculpts midnight dew,
Moon laces trees with silverspun;
Dawn's entranced by magical view
as intricate beauty greets the Sun.
A wash of gold begins anew
while Nature strives to inspire one.

Tell me of this glow, this transparent light
emanating 'round your frame, as halo;
shielding your corporal features from me.
Am I feverish to conjure this sight?
Or are you a mystic from long ago,
who's come to renew sacred mystery?
Your gentle voice answers in love's language;
you are man, without godly advantage.
Still I am fearful of your wondrous might
wielded through wise, choiced words and stately pose;
scared too, by how you easily excite;
rousing my desires into torrid flows.
Ensorcelled, I accept your warm invite;
entrusting you'll lead us, where love's fruit grows.
Thou bringest lovely muse to fill our bed;
petals of heart placed tender 'neath our lie,
breadth with promise to cocoon our bodies.
'Tis a godly gift born by timeless thread;
quieting the night into softest sigh
whilst we incarnate primal melodies.
Behold we art graced with rarest union;
one soul betwixt us in love's dominion.
'Tis none who canst deny what hath been bred;
divined in master blueprints, moons ago.
Nor have we worry's demon or pain's dread
to fear we wilt part whence death's shadows show.
For we shalt remain eternally wed;
lovers sewn as one, where'er we shalt go.

We've written fantasies of our every touch,
Novels well worthy of others relaxing read.
Were Knight and Princess roams, the beauty of night 'n day.
Carried away in times of fevered clutch,
The Princess empowers his existing needs.
Joys of Knight and Princess are vividly put on display.
His warmth melts down her resisting mind,
Where dreams forefeel and love's richly defined.
Together they met heavens pleasured touch,
some a bit to much for some.
Laughter takes the setting, to ease their friction clutch .
Their love for oneanother resides in words to hum.
Writings etched within their treasured touch.
You can follow their dreams...of pleasurable times to come...
Panic Attack Saga
Love is always waiting for attention
No matter what bumpy roads have brought
His love, his compassion still resides
Love sometimes falls into destruction
She pulls back; why? Reasons fought
Memories harsh, unkind words subside.
Illness, he never understood, confusion remains
Nervous brake-down, from heinous caused pain
Love once had meaning with understood reasons
She knows there's no time left; no energy thrives
She enjoys, recuperates; from failures stepped on
She wished he'd known of nerve-ending vibes
Hopeful dreams, scenic themes she views on
Out the window gone are all wasted bribes

My little Christmas tree stands proud, alight
with silver bells reflecting candles’ flames.
A flock of tiny birds has come to rest
on pine’s green branches, hiding from the night.
Outside, a gloomy twilight reigns, has tamed
our sun, reduced to just a shadow of her best.
December blues are all around, subdue
most of glittering decorations’ due.
The end of year reflections are a rite
to look within and weigh what’s found inside.
Reflections sometimes yield surprising sights,
uncovering old sores we thought to hide;
once standing in the light, there is no might
to put them back, we can but face, abide.
In drifts of gold, wind's breath undresses trees,
with playful gusts the fiery veils are torn;
like snowflakes floating gently to the floor.
The carpet thickens, rustles, softly pleads,
as heaps of red and auburn down adorn
the burrowed feet with flocks of leaves galore.
In silhouetted starkness standing proud-
raised arms wave mute goodbyes to swirling clouds.
A heady fragrance, carried on the breeze,
is tickling nose and skin to come alive;
as sudden bursts of gold dust tease a sneeze-
my head is cleared from joy impairing drive.
The seasons dance a graceful, slow reprise,
while naked trees in wintry sleep survive.
Last Hours of 2012
This last day of the year is overcast,
no trace of sun can pierce the heavy clouds;
inside reigns blackness, mirroring the sky.
Outside sounds early firework's harsh blast,
disrupting thoughts enfolded in dark shrouds.
Where is our easy laughter, once so nigh?
It's grown so hard to reach each other now,
your frown feels like it's etched upon my brow.
We both need confirmation, no reproach,
yet we do seem unable to forsake
a fleeting satisfaction, so encroach
as if we have forgotten what's at stake.
Is there a way to retrace steps, approach
each other from the heart, stop ache?
I am a butterfly, her body pinned,
examined on a table, in harsh light-
each blemish scrutinized without pardon.
My wings are stretched, I’m waiting to be skinned,
I feel my muscles cry, despairing flight;
can roses grow in an ill kept garden?
My breath is labouring under these strains,
what will the outcome be of all my pains?
I know I'm in a nightmare, bound to watch
my struggling soul to free her pinned up wings;
can concentration help, or will it botch
our efforts to shake off these binding strings?
I hope to cut her free with but a notch,
if she can fly again, my heart will sing.
When gods are crying- icy tears congeal-
form hailstones, chastening my bend-down head
while frost of sorrow dresses me in white.
I'm paralysed within this numbing seal;
my chest heaves painfully, each breath is bled
as winds of grief chase howling through the night.
Withdrawing all my senses, I endure-
by riding out this storm, I will mature.
The sky, first overcast, breaks into blue,
as birds emerge from hiding, angels smile;
the sadness of the gods received full due,
their shedded tears turned soft, what was hostile.
Relieved, the earth smells sweet and looks renewed-
abandoning old hurts, has been worthwhile.
A thousand little feet thump on the tiles,
an army marches on - it's armed with rain!
the tiny soldiers carry water guns
and every time they aim I sense their smiles;
as bullets splash against the windowpanes,
I hear a tinkling laugh - it must be fun!
The empty guns are filled at raining taps,
on every soaking hit, sound bursts of claps.
All night the game goes on and runners file
while sleeplessly I sigh without relief;
the weather gods conceded to their wiles
and streets resemble rivers - no reprieve.
As leaves drip tears of laughter, water piles;
Dawn yawns, wakes up and blinks in disbelief.

Moon-silk and Willow
'Neath shaded wisdom of old willow tree,
earth mother's tears taste of happiness found.
His sentient presence with love bestowed,
in mist, her warrior, on bended knee.
This union a gift, upon hallowed ground;
sacred, the tree, from seeds they have sewed.
Willow, blessed be their magical tryst
Lift your misty veil that she may be kissed
Moon-silk enchanting, their spirits dance free,
from misty-dew lips, this valley now sings.
His journey was long, from battles at sea
but angel-love flows through magical wings.
Time engraved their names on the willow tree,
this ancient love soars above many things.

Divena and Terry
Begining of Time 1
Upon a new years light ascending
Far beyond the centuries of old
The mists of time shroud the land
Through gold of sun light sending
As the waves of an ocean unfolds
Before the planets were planned
Wildest winds upon raging oceans
That stirs a calm sea's emotions
Violent storms of wild descending
Converts the land we love so well
The wisdom of natures mending
That only in time itself shall tell
Of rivers and meadows blending
At the time when humans fell.
Begining of Time 2
Before time there was a place
Where Adam dwelt with Eve alone
With all creatures they lived contented
And all were in a state of grace
Where it is, is till not known
But we know 'twas not invented.
Eden is not a work of fiction
And it's claimed mans restriction
Is because of mans disgrace
He has a freedom, that of choice.
Some ignore and turn their face
'cause greed ignores sanity's voice
Creating their own heavenly place
Where they selfishly rejoice.
Begining of Time 3
If man has been his own master
Had all his needs within demand
Shall he not be the one to hate
Greed may be his own disaster
All for the final grains of sand
That he had amassed too late
This planet of life shall remain
Within animal and mans domain
The season of life may prosper
If mankind shall never destroy
When a global axle spins faster
And natures magnetisms employ
The seeds of a wind blown aster
Remains true forever with joy.
Begining of Time 4
Man has always been his master
But the seven deadly sins invaded
It needs strength to ignore their call.
These terrible facts speak of disaster;
With all their promises a charade
And always a temptation to us all.
Status education is the greatest crime
It's encouraged greed throughout time.
Man's travelled many miles over water
To claim countries and steal it's wealth.
Meeting resistance he used slaughter
Using advanced weapons and stealth
At home causing adversity to totter
Each time feeding only himself.
Begining of Time 5
Man or beast have need for leaders
Of herds, packs or King of the realm
Less in time shall be overthrown
The meak shall never be succeeders
But a King shall stand by his helm
With his strength of power shown
All have a need to gain this power
'Til death departs on the final hour
Or loyal subjects that remember
Gave birth to the perfect domain
From the past to future defender
Where freedom of will may remain
He shall crave love and surrender
To the beauty of earth yet again.
